Biofuture partners with environmentally focused businesses, supplying fully compostable products to boost their sustainability credentials and shift the food and drink packaging.
An example of this partnership-focused approach is the Full of Beans café in Sawbridgeworth, who adopted a wide range of the Biofuture products, including the compostable PLA coffee cups. PLA is 100% bio-based and industrially compostable, made from renewable resources such as corn starch or sugar cane.
Matthew, the owner of Full of Beans café, commented: “When searching for a company that aligned with our shop's values and reflected my commitment to environmental responsibility, I was thrilled to discover Biofuture.
"Their dedicated commitment to offering compostable products and genuine sustainability is a refreshing change from prevalent greenwashing practices in the industry. With Biofuture, there is no compromise on authenticity or environmental impact - just a shared vision for a healthier planet.”

Creating compostable alternatives for food and drink packaging has been the mission of Oscar Smith, managing director of Biofuture, and he is delighted with the partnership:
“Working with from Matthew and the team at Full of Beans has been really positive, it is always a pleasure to speak with passionate business owners who understand the impact of plastics on the planet. We work closely with our customers to ensure the transition to compostable packaging is seamless.
“We are dedicated to revolutionising food packaging and kitchen supplies for the service industry. We want to be a part of the change towards a circular economy where raw materials are to be renewable. Biofuture packaging is designed to remove the damaging consequences of ordinary plastic and make the change to a circular economy comprised of compostable products.
“Compostable plastic in the correct conditions can disappear and benefit the Earth within weeks, and for PLA it is approximately 12-16 weeks. Producing PLA uses 65% less energy than producing conventional plastics, it also generates 68% fewer greenhouse gases.
"Customers have a strong positive reaction when told their packaging is compostable and with consumer behaviour changing, both the public and private sector are starting to prioritise the planet with compostable food and drink packaging,” said Oscar.
